ABSTRACT.– Chronostratigraphical sequence in URUPEZ II. New radiometric dates. Three
new C14 dates have been obtained from charcoal samples of the archeological site URUPEZ
II, Uruguay. Two samples dated 10.800 years before present by AMS radiocarbon dating, and
the third 12.000 years before present, which corroborates the Pleistocene-Holocene transition
age of the site, and the posibility of an older antiquiety. Using the same method previous
samples were dated 10.690 and 11.690 years before present (MENEGHIN, 2004, 2006).
